Week 36, Day 7 – An experiment

July 22nd, 2010 No comments

Recently, I took over as moderator in an online weight loss challenge. One of the things I plan to do is to have a weekly theme that everyone can work on and post about. I’ve decided to include those themes here as well. This will bring a new focus to this blog, and hopefully will encourage my readers (that’s you!) to start posting here.

We will begin tomorrow. I hope you’ll participate, even if it’s offline, but I’d really like to encourage you to post your thoughts and progress.

Speaking of posting, feel free to ask questions, make suggestions and otherwise get involved here. Keep to the topic as much as possible, but feel free to speak your mind. There are many ways to lose weight. That’s the whole point of this blog. Someone might read your post and find the missing piece to their own method of losing weight. Get involved. You’ll be helping yourself while you help others!

Week 35, Day 1 – The Most Delicious Weight Loss Recipe Ever!

The Most Delicious Weight Loss Recipe Ever!

Take a pound of motivation
and a teaspoonful of hope,
add a pinch of organization,
one slice of cantelope,
some raspberries and peaches,
a pinch of lemon zest,
some spinach and some broccoli,
an egg, fresh from the nest,
a gallon jug of water,
one square of chocolate (dark!),
a salmon steak,
some veggies, baked,
an optional shard of shark,
mix in one cup of applesauce
(no sugar added, please),
combine it with some olive oil
to aid the bend of knees,
a quarter cup of walnuts,
some green tea and some flax,
add 5 or 6 small meals each day,
and, if you want, 2 snacks,
fold in at least one half an hour
of daily exercise
to tone the body’s muscles
and melt those thunder thighs,
no alcohol, but if you must,
a glass of wine with dinner,
add custom vitamins from Trump
and surely you’ll get thinner,
their Silhouette Solution line
will stoke your fire with protein,
and fill you up, and keep you going,
and help your colon stay clean,
and lest you think the task too hard,
remember in the process,
it’s not perfection that you seek,
but slow and steady progress,
we all will falter now and then,
so heed this remonstration:
combine those fats and sugars with
a ton of moderation,
and to all these ingredients,
you’ll need the proper attitude,
be sure to sprinkle in each day
a huge helping of gratitude,
balance is key, take it from me,
so order that burger with fries,
but do not undermine your efforts
by telling yourself lies,
while once — not twice — each month is fine,
don’t make fried food a habit,
it’s so much better for your body
if you eat more like a rabbit,
fill up on veggies, fruits and nuts,
whole grains, legumes and dried beans,
drink lots of water, get some rest,
and don’t forget the protein,
then laugh, and love, and live your life,
and please, always remember –
to keep yourself whole,
you must feed your soul,
December through November,
So, take it slow — deep breath — there you go –
‘though you may have a nestful,
some work, some play,
then sprinkle through the day
some moments that are restful,
’cause stress can undermine it all,
so eliminate the fretwork,
Here’s to your health!
and as for your wealth…
come join me in Trump Network!

Week 32, Day 1 – Lost the cruise weight plus!

June 18th, 2010 No comments

I love this system!!!

Last week, I gained 5 pounds on a cruise to New Brunswick, Canada. This week, that gain is history, and I’ve lost a pound more, for a total of 6 pounds down. Sometimes, it amazes me how easy it is to work this plan. I simply started right back in with the Silhouette Solution products, the fruits and veggies, and the protein, and I’m right back on track one week later. How great is that!

This is not the only good news. I went for my annual physical yesterday. My doctor went over the results of some recent blood work, and all my numbers are in the healthy range! I was curious about how these products would affect my glucose range, and I’m happy to report that the number went down 8 points, and put me back into the healthy range for blood glucose level.

My total cholesterol came down 7 points, triglycerides (the “bad” cholesterol) went from 168 a year ago down to 110 now. That’s quite a significant drop, and brought me into the healthy range as well. My HDL (the “good” cholesterol) went up 3 points, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) went from 6.82 in November to 3.27 now, once again putting me into the healthy range. This is huge! My doctor was very pleased, and so am I. We’re even talking about lowering or eliminating some of the meds I’m taking, which is one of my reasons for losing the weight in the first place.

I feel good. I feel strong. I feel healthy. Lots of people my age can say the same. Those who cannot should seriously consider getting these products. They have quite literally changed my life. My nails are stronger, my hair is healthier, I’m losing weight and gaining energy. Ask me about it, I’m happy to share what I know, and would love to be an agent of positive change in your life.

Week 31, Day 2 – What a great time I had!

June 12th, 2010 No comments

OK, I’m back from my first cruise ever, and I have to tell you, it was awesome! If you’ve never done it, what are you waiting for? There’s something for everyone, from gambling to reading in the library, from boozing it up at the disco to relaxing in the hot tub, from watching a Vegas-type show to bingo. It’s all there for you, and the pizza never stops, not even at 4 in the morning.

Speaking of pizza, the white I had at 4 AM came topped with garlic and feta cheese, and was scrumptious. Just right to get me through to morning. I could write for days about the delicious foods: steaks, chops, salmon, sushi, deli sandwiches, chocolate buffet (oh, the chocolate buffet!), wraps, cakes, cookies, ice cream… days and days and days. But I won’t. Suffice it to say that I gained 5 pounds in 4 days.

Not a problem. I know it will come right off again. Check in on Friday to see how I’m doing.

Week 30, Day 2 – Anchors A-WEIGH!

June 5th, 2010 No comments

OK, bad pun.

Just wanted to post a quick note to let you know that I’m getting ready to head to NYC in order to go on my first real cruise ever. It’s what the high school reunion committee decided would be a fun way to hold a reunion. Here’s hoping they’re right!

Since this is a vacation, I’m going to enjoy myself, including partaking of all the yummy food that will be available. Hopefully, I won’t do much damage. It’s comforting to know that I’ve got my Silhouette Solution products waiting for me at home. I’ll start right back in with them and all will be well.

I think it’s important to “let go” every now and then. The trouble is, “every now and then” cannot be every other weekend. This week is special, and I’m going to treat it that way. I’ve invested in some much needed new clothes for the trip, clothes that actually fit me and are not all old and baggy now that I’ve lost a significant amount of weight. It’s going to feel good to wear them.

Follow the link below for more information on Silhouette Solution, an excellent plan for losing weight, getting healthy, eliminating hunger, and ending food cravings. I’m on this plan because it works. In fact, I believe so strongly in these products that I became a distributor. We all have to make a living in this world, and it’s great when you can do so by promoting something you really believe in.

OK, so I’m off. Lots to do before I leave. See you in a week!
