Week 9, Day 2 – Good news! Create your own account!

January 9th, 2010 No comments

Today, I’m happy to report that you can now set up your own account and place orders any time you like without my assistance. Of course, I’m always ready to help if you need it. Folks often prefer the freedom to come and go as they please, without having to wait on a company representative to complete their order. That time has come for the Silhouette Solution line. You can even order your PrivaTest and your Custom Essentials!

Here’s the website link:

http://tinyurl.com/GetSilhouetteSolution
http://tinyurl.com/MyPrivaTest

Once there, click on the “Products” tab to learn more about the products. (Be sure to also check out the monthly “Product Promotions” button to see which product is being discounted each month.) Then, when you’re ready, click on the “Shop Now for Products” button. This will take you to the PrivaTest page, where you can learn all about the importance of custom nutritionals. There’s a link on that page to “Additional Products” as well.

At the upper right of the page, you will see the “My Account” link. Click on that, and you can either log in (current customer) or “Create a New Account” (new customer). If you’re new, fill in the typical info form, and you’ll be on your way.

With one exception, I have found the products to be excellent. They’re tasty, filling and nutritious, and I’ve been losing weight consistently since I started using them. However, there is one product that I cannot recommend, for subjective reasons. While I know that tastes vary, and you may absolutely love this product, I don’t like it at all. It’s the Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal. I wound up giving it to my daughter, and she didn’t like it, either. Maybe it’s just something in our blood that doesn’t mesh with the taste, because I know people who absolutely love it, and have it for breakfast every day! If you decide to try it, I’d love some feedback about your experience.

Everything else is delicious, so don’t let this one negative review stop you from trying out the rest of the product line. They’re well made, and each of the food products contains 15 grams of protein and little or no sugar. They satisfy my hunger for hours, and I never feel deprived or hungry between meals. My energy remains at a steady level, without the sugar spike that often comes of having a mid-morning or mid-afternoon candy bar or danish, and without the crash that comes an hour or two after a meal.

I know that by using these products, I’m feeding my body the nutrients that it needs to thrive, and my body knows that it will be fed again in 2 hours, so it never gets to the point of desperate hunger and no longer constantly begs me for more food. My binge days may be over! It sure feels that way right now! I can’t begin to tell you how freeing and uplifting this is!

Give these products a try. I know you’ll love them. Let me know how it goes. Tell me about your energy level, your hunger level, your weight loss. I’d love to hear from you.

Week 7, Day 5 – The inevitable after-holiday crash

December 29th, 2009 No comments

Blaaagh. That’s how I feel. Actually, I feel worse than that, because blaaagh seems to assume I’m not feeling much of anything. In actuality, I’m feeling quite a bit, but it’s mostly negative. I’m teary, depressed, bloated, lethargic and feeling completely out of control. This is a good thing.

Why do I say that it’s good that I feel this way? I will tell you why, but first I will tell you how I got to feeling so out of sorts in the first place.

For the past week and a half, or, more accurately, on and off since Thanksgiving, I’ve allowed myself to indulge in all manner of holiday food, drink and merry-doing. We all need to let go now and then, and just enjoy the little extras in life that could do us in if we indulged in them on a daily basis. So, with the excuse that it’s the holiday season and “everyone else is doing it”, I did just that. I enjoyed. Oh boy, did I enjoy.

Apple pie, cheesecake, turkey stuffing, seconds, thirds, soda, wine, breads, cookies, and snacks of all description were on the menu, and I had all of these and more. Pancakes for breakfast, with rich syrup and lots of butter. Hamburger on bun for lunch, with all the fixin’s, including mounds of French fries and ketchup. Pizza or grinders (hoagies, heroes, whatever you call them in your neck of the woods) for supper or late night snacking. Ice cream. (No, it’s not too cold out for ice cream. It’s never too cold for ice cream in my world.) Candy canes, candy bars, hot cocoa, whipped cream, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.

You get the picture. I let myself go, for a week and a half, or maybe a month. On the day after Christmas, it all abruptly stopped. The party was over, and it was time to stop eating like a glutton. That “party” ended four days ago. Today, I’m crashing. My body is going through the withdrawal symptoms of no longer indulging in all that sugar, all that fat, all that partying. It feels like PMS, but I know what it really is, because I’ve been here before.

Three days ago, I started eating the Ideal Health foods again. I added fruits and vegetables, lean meats and fish. I drank the QuikStik mood infusion beverages, and I waited for the inevitable crash. Now, I am in the midst of that crash, and I’m so very glad of it. No, I don’t enjoy these feelings, but I know where they lead, and I will come out the other side stronger, and more sure than ever that the plan I was following pre-holiday is the one that will give me a life of clarity, stamina and good health.

The scale this morning told me that I’ve regained 5 of the pounds that I’d lost. That’s OK. I expected this to happen. Those 5 pounds will come off almost as easily as they went on. They’re temporary. They’re part of the price I was willing to pay for the time off to celebrate the holidays. Stick around and watch me lose them again.

Tomorrow I will feel better. Tomorrow I will be on top of the world. Tomorrow the clarity will return, along with the self-control, the stamina, and the enhanced knowledge that I can stick to this plan, even with holidays off for good behavior. (Maybe next year, I won’t want any time off at all!) I can do this. I will do this. I am doing this!

Week 2, Day 5 – Healthy snacks for kids and teens

November 24th, 2009 No comments

Do your kids fight you when it comes to eating healthy foods? I’ve got a solution for you that will get you and your kids cooperating about food choices, while providing them with the nutrients that their growing bodies need. This is truly a win-win situation!

Along with the other products, like protein bars, smoothies and shakes, the company has just come out with a group of products geared specifically for children. These products provide healthy snacks for kids. (Adults like them, too.)

What child today couldn’t make healthier choices when it comes to snacking? These products are specifically geared to provide an average of 15 grams of protein, along with other important nutrients, in a tasty snack that kids can enjoy.

Depending on the ages and taste buds of your children, they might also enjoy products geared more for adults and teens, like the BBQ Soy Puffs. These are similar to barbecue-flavored cheese puffs, but they’re balanced for weight loss and good nutrition, with 15 grams of protein, 3 grams of sugar and 120 calories per individual package.

If your kids are not into BBQ flavor, similar products are the Sour Cream and Onion Puffs and the Chocolate Puffs. Both provide the same crunch satisfaction and the same nutrition as the BBQ flavor. Kids love ‘em, so there’s no struggle getting them to add good nutrition to their diet.

Other products in the line that kids might enjoy are the protein bars. These come in a variety of flavors, including Chocolate Delite, Blueberry-Pomegranate, Lemon Blast and Peanut Passion. I love them all!

This product line also offers healthy and yummy meal-type foods, like chocolate caramel granola cereal, cinnamon apple oatmeal, and a variety of soups.

You’re sure to find some products that your kids will love, and you can feel good about these choices, because they provide more protein and other good stuff than what you can purchase on the shelves of your local grocery store.

If you’d like to give any of these items a try, visit the Ideal Health website.

Week 1, Day 2 – Nutraceuticals

November 14th, 2009 No comments

I’m feeling pretty good today. Still lethargic, still sleeping more hours than I should need to, but hopeful that things will soon begin to change. Despite the lethargy, I feel the presence of a new energy.

Part of this feeling has to do with a venture I’ve recently begun. It’s a home-based business, and I’ve been spending lots of time getting things positioned for take-off. The company that I’ve partnered with is headed by Donald Trump (yes, that Donald Trump), and the main product line is one that will help people attain better health and vitality. I will be a product of that product line, as I will be eating the foods, drinking the drinks, and taking the supplements that belong to it, and so I will have firsthand knowledge of its potential. I’ll tell you more about it as time goes on.

Another part of this feeling relates to this blog. Making myself accountable in this way is literally giving me another reason to live. I’m really hoping that my journey will help others. There is an energy that comes from giving of yourself. I believe that this is what I’m feeling today. So, thanks for being here!

If you don’t want to wait for my blog post about the nutritionals that I’m adding to my diet, you can learn more about them here:

http://www.idealhealth.com/

This site will show you some of the products that my new business will be distributing. The brand will soon change, and become Trump Network, but the new website is not yet ready. If you decide to place an order, please type 6391373 into the Sponsor ID box, so they will know that you learned about them through me.

As an independent marketer, I’m always on the lookout for folks who’d like to ride the wave with me. Mr. Trump’s new business is about to skyrocket to the stars, and the company is looking for some good people to help service all the new clients that will come on board in the next few months. If you’re looking to start your own home-based business, either part-time or full-time, now is the perfect time. For more information, check out this website:
